Bridge over Karadarya River under construction in Samarkand at cost of 310 billion soums
Once the facility is commissioned, the distance from the Shirin district to the city center will be reduced from 23 to 4 kilometers, and the travel time will be cut by 30 minutes.

During a visit to Samarkand Region, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction site of a bridge over the Karadarya River.
The length of the facility will be 780 meters. It will connect the under-construction Shirin district with the center of Samarkand and the airport, as well as help redistribute traffic flows and ease congestion on the roads.
