Electronic Documents to Be Accepted at Banks, Notaries, and Airports

Electronic versions of biometric passports, ID cards, and a number of identification documents can be used instead of paper documents.

The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan has registered changes to 33 departmental documents, permitting organizations to accept electronic documents from citizens.

The documents are available in the my.gov.uz and 'Social Card' applications. They can be presented at banks to confirm identity, at notaries, at airports for check-in on domestic flights, and when obtaining telecommunication services.

The new rules also apply to the execution of contracts at pawnshops, the receipt of paid services at medical and social institutions, blood donation, military registration, and the provision of compensation to war participants.
