The official trailer for the third season of 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' has been released. In the footage, Galadriel, Elrond, and Gandalf gather the forces of Middle-earth, while Sauron leads his armies into battle, and romantic storylines unfold among the heroes.

The action begins several years after the events of the second season. Sauron seeks to forge the One Ring to gain an advantage in the war and subjugate the peoples of Middle-earth to his will.

Showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay stated that the new season will be darker and more dangerous.
