Anthropic to Direct Billions of Dollars Toward Public Benefit Initiatives

The American company intends to allocate 5% of its shares, with a total valuation of approximately $48 billion, to fund public benefit initiatives.

Anthropic has announced plans to establish a separate entity called the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund. This entity will manage the shares and make donations to non-profit organizations or provide direct payments to specific groups of people.

As Anthropic develops, the proportion of shares transferred to the new structure will increase. The initial allocation of 5% of the securities is currently awaiting shareholder approval. The company expects that this mechanism will enable it to expand the scale of its charitable activities and provide more flexible funding for socially significant projects.
