VEON acquires 100% of mobile operator Perfectum in Uzbekistan for $207 million
Necessary approvals have been obtained, and the deal is expected to close by the end of October 2026.
VEON has agreed to acquire 100% of Rubicon Wireless, the mobile operator operating under the Perfectum brand. The total deal amount includes the company's debt, while the cash portion will be paid by the holding from its own funds.
Following the completion of the deal, Beeline Uzbekistan will receive additional frequencies, equipment, and infrastructure, including a 5G Standalone network on Nokia equipment. VEON expects this to increase the operator's radio frequency resources by approximately 50%, expand network coverage and capacity, and support the development of 5G and wireless internet for homes and businesses.
The company also anticipates reducing future capital and operating expenses through network integration.
