Anthropic Unveils AI Agent Claude Duet — A Competitor to Meta Muse
For now, the preview version is available only to users in the U.S. with paid Pro and Max subscriptions

Claude Duet independently monitors events in connected applications, sends a brief morning summary, and contacts the user when their input is required. The agent operates on the Claude Opus 5.5 model and can schedule meetings, create dashboards, prepare forecasts, and prototype web applications.
The service continues to function when the user is offline, but requests confirmation before sending emails, making payments, signing documents, or deleting data. Trading securities and transferring funds between accounts are prohibited, even with the user's consent.
Claude Duet does not have direct access to passwords or tokens, and security mechanisms block the transmission of sensitive data. Anthropic warns that the early version may make errors in understanding context and task urgency, and currently performs personal tasks less effectively.
