New electric off-road vehicle from BYD to offer a range of 1,000 km

Pre-orders in China to begin on 26 October

The Denza N8 EV will be a fully electric version of the large SUV that was previously sold in China as a plug-in hybrid.

The model will feature BYD's second-generation Blade battery and a range of up to 1,003 km under the CLTC cycle. The lineup will include a rear-wheel-drive version and an all-wheel-drive variant with three motors; the total power output of the latter will be 890 kW.

The interior will feature a large central screen and a 43-inch panoramic projection display.
