Uzbekistan Begins Connecting Apple Pay

Google Pay is already operational for contactless payments

On October 27, Apple Wallet added the ability to connect cards from eight banks and fintech services in Uzbekistan.

The list includes Uzum, Orient Finans Bank, National Bank of Uzbekistan, Kapitalbank, Hamkorbank, Ipak Yuli Bank, TBC Bank, and Octobank. For Uzum and Hamkorbank, Visa is specified, while for the other participants, both Visa and Mastercard are supported. However, individual banks may not support all card types.

As of the preparation date of this material, Uzbekistan was not included in Apple's published list of countries with Apple Pay support. The list of participants will be expanded, and compatibility of a specific card is recommended to be checked with its issuer.
