Currently, two-thirds of the allocated land has been designated for housing projects, while construction has yet to begin on 28 lots assigned to investors.
Mirziyoyev emphasized that outdated requirements, lengthy approvals, and the stance of some agencies as controllers rather than partners have caused delays. He warned that investors will not wait and will redirect their funds to other markets if they do not see support.
The average cost of a hectare of land in New Tashkent has risen from less than 10 billion soums in 2024 to 19 billion soums at present. By the end of the year, 20,000 apartments are planned for completion, along with the construction of a 55,000-seat stadium.
