Foreign Companies from the USA, South Korea, and China Show Interest in UzAuto Motors
The Agency for Management of State Assets plans to privatize the automaker through a competitive process without preferences for investors, reports UzDaily.

The Agency for Management of State Assets (AMSA) is preparing to sell 99.7% of the shares of UzAuto Motors and 100% of UzAuto Motors Powertrain. The process includes an international audit and asset valuation.
To prepare for privatization, AMSA engaged the consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal, selected through a competitive process. The firm is conducting a comprehensive review and preparing analytical materials. AMSA Director Sokhibjon Murodov emphasized that the interest of foreign companies does not guarantee them a purchase—the deal will proceed through open bidding.
The next stages include an independent asset valuation, engaging an international consultant to organize the bidding, and announcing the start of privatization. Investors will be able to submit applications, after which negotiations will take place with those who offer the best terms.
