During a meeting with educators and mentors at the University of 'New Uzbekistan,' Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed two measures related to preschool education. One is intended to support women who work and raise young children. The second concerns opportunities for professional growth for daycare center staff.

Beginning January 1, 2027, the state will start paying parental fees for attending family daycare centers. The support applies to children aged 2 to 3 if their mothers are employed. Thus, three conditions are essential for receiving this measure: the child's age, attendance at a family daycare center specifically, and the mother's employment. This refers to parental fees that will be covered from the state budget.

Separately, the president announced changes to the training conditions for educators. Authorities will continue creating opportunities for them to obtain higher education without leaving their jobs at daycare centers.

Starting from the next academic year, studies at pedagogical universities for educators will take three years instead of four. Teaching assistants will also be able to take advantage of this opportunity if they have worked in a daycare center for at least five years. This will expand the range of preschool institution employees who can obtain higher pedagogical education while continuing to work.
