This is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources. The negotiations are still in the initial stage, so the conclusion of the deal is not guaranteed.
According to the Financial Times, approximately $10 billion is planned to be obtained through loans, with the remaining $30 billion coming from bond issuance. Apollo Global Management may act as the placement organizer, with PIMCO as one of the participants. The deal is expected to be completed in 2027.
Borrowing funds is becoming a common practice among companies developing AI infrastructure. For example, Broadcom intends to provide Anthropic with up to $42 billion for related expenses.
Earlier, Musk announced plans to more than double the number of Nvidia chips in the Colossus 2 computing cluster by the end of 2026.
