Navoiuran aims to double uranium production by 2030
Uzbekistan plans to increase uranium production from 7,500 tonnes in 2026 to 15,000 tonnes by 2030.

These plans were presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on November 5 at a meeting on the development of the Navoiuran enterprise.
To achieve this goal, geological exploration, technological drilling, and production infrastructure will be expanded. The installation of equipment will create 250 jobs. By 2030, the share of reagents replacing sulfuric acid is intended to reach 40%.
The task has also been set to increase explored uranium reserves to 200,000 tonnes. According to data presented at the meeting, global uranium demand has grown by 15–20% in recent years and may increase by another 28% by 2030. The authorities were instructed to timely implement investment projects.
