Fire response drills conducted in Tashkent metro
Staff practiced alerting services and ensuring passenger safety.

According to the Tashkent Metro, on September 29, practical fire safety drills were held at all stations of the Uzbekistan Line. For passengers, this means that staff verified their readiness to act in the event of a possible fire and protect people at the station.
The drill involved employees working at the stations, the senior instructor of the Militarized Fire Protection Service, and staff from the metro’s emergency response department. Together, they practiced actions to take in the event of an emergency.
Participants learned to quickly assess the situation, report the incident to the relevant services, and eliminate fires at the initial stage. Separate checks were conducted on actions necessary to ensure passenger safety.
The drills also demonstrated how well employees know fire safety requirements and can cooperate with each other during an emergency. Staff performed tasks in the prescribed order, as required under such circumstances.
The metro authorities consider such drills part of preparation for potential incidents. They are intended to strengthen fire safety at facilities and help personnel respond more quickly if a fire does occur.
