A device the size of a seed is inserted into the body through a standard needle and positioned near a nerve. It emits electrical signals that can be controlled wirelessly in real time.

The development requires no batteries, wires, or surgical intervention. Physicians can track its position using ultrasound or computed tomography. Stimulation parameters are adjusted for each patient.

The study was published in *Science Advances*. Professor Khalil Ramadi stated that the technology makes treating nerve disorders simpler, safer, and more accessible. The device has undergone laboratory and preclinical testing, but its effectiveness for chronic pain and motor disorders has yet to be confirmed.
