Xiaomi Develops Robotic Arm with 1,500 Sensors for Factory Operations
Chinese company Xiaomi has introduced a robotic hand capable of precisely gripping and moving parts of various shapes and sizes. The development is intended for automating complex operations in manufacturing.

The hand is equipped with 26 electric actuators and 1,500 sensitive elements that allow it to detect pressure force and the position of objects. This enables the robot to adjust its grip without damaging fragile parts.
During development, Xiaomi engineers studied over 2,500 manufacturing operations at automotive plants. Special attention was given to the precision of movements, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
The next stage will involve testing in real production conditions. The company will assess how stably the robotic hand performs tasks without human intervention and how it can be integrated into existing assembly lines.
