Google releases Playground for creating games using AI
The new platform allows generating browser-based games from text descriptions without programming skills, the company announced.

Google has launched an experimental service called Playground, where users can create games simply by describing their idea in a chat. Rules, characters, or environments can be modified using text commands—no programming is required.
Finished projects are tested in a browser, and they can be saved for personal use, shared via a link, or posted in the Playground Explore gallery. Some games feature leaderboards and multiplayer mode. The platform uses Google’s AI models Gemini, Nano Banana, and Lyria.
The service is free, but Google One subscribers receive increased weekly token usage limits. For now, Playground is available only to users over 18 in the U.S. In the future, Google plans to integrate the platform with Unity Spark to allow transferring games to Unity for more advanced development.
