Toll Road Planned Between Samarkand and Bukhara

A toll road with cement-concrete pavement is planned to be constructed between Samarkand and Bukhara. The travel time is expected to be reduced from five hours to one and a half.

In Uzbekistan, a new high-speed railway line is also planned between Samarkand and Bukhara. The start dates for the construction of both projects have not yet been announced.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the responsible authorities to finalize the master plans for the highway and railway and to begin negotiations with potential partners.
