Shavkat Mirziyoyev Proposes Allowing Travel Between OTS Countries Using ID Cards

At the 13th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Ankara on October 30, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, proposed developing a multilateral agreement to simplify mutual travel for citizens of the member countries.

The document should provide for expanded opportunities to use ID cards when crossing borders.

Additionally, Mirziyoyev proposed creating a 'Turkic Tourism Alliance' to develop the tourism potential of the member states.

Currently, citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan can cross the border using ID cards and stay in the neighboring country for up to 60 days.
