Dog walking zones being created in Bishkek
One of the areas will occupy approximately 300 square meters, reports the Bishkek Municipality.

Special zones for dog walking are being created in three public spaces in Bishkek. These are intended to make walks for pets safer and reduce inconvenience for other visitors to parks and squares, the city municipality stated.
Work is underway at three locations: in Togolok Moldo Square, on Imanaly Aidarbekov Street, and at the intersection of Erkindik Boulevard and Joomart Bokonbaev Street. The decision to equip such areas was made by the mayor following a tour of the territories and inspection of city squares and parks.
Preparatory and construction work has already begun on Imanaly Aidarbekov Street. These are being carried out by the Capital Construction Department.
The area at the intersection of Erkindik Boulevard and Joomart Bokonbaev Street will occupy approximately 300 square meters. The main part of the territory will be covered with grass, while about a third will be allocated for a recreation zone with a canopy, benches, and a table.
The area will be enclosed with a 1.8-meter-high fence, suitable for large dogs as well. Entry will be through double metal gates to prevent animals from accidentally running outside. Inside, an inclined ramp, a tunnel, a drinking station, trash bins, and information boards will be installed.
The canopy is intended to protect visitors from the sun, rain, and snow. Another equipped zone is planned to be created in Togolok Moldo Square.
