China creates four-meter-tall giant robot capable of lifting up to half a ton

The development is designed for operations that humans cannot perform independently, including in hazardous zones.

The Chinese company NeodraDynamics has introduced a humanoid robot named Neo1, standing approximately four meters tall. The 1.2-ton android, according to the developers, can lift up to 500 kg with both arms.

The robot is equipped with 41 movable joints: 39 of them operate using miniature hydraulic actuators, while the other two, responsible for forearm rotation, are powered by electric drives.

According to analysts' estimates, in 2025, Chinese manufacturers accounted for about 90% of global humanoid robot supplies. The country has become one of the leaders and trendsetters in robotics and continues to present new developments.
