Billionaire Ray Dalio Warns of Imminent Collapse of AI Market Bubble
The investor compared the situation to the dot-com bubble and pointed to risks from rising interest rates and wealth taxes, writes Bloomberg.

According to him, companies are actively raising borrowed funds to develop AI, but rising interest rates are making such investments unprofitable.
Dalio also noted that wealth taxes and the need to convert assets into cash could accelerate the crash. 'Everyone talks about their wealth in billions, but to spend it, you need to sell assets—and then the bubble will burst,' he explained.
Earlier, in January 2025, the investor had already compared the AI hype to the dot-com bubble. Currently, tech giants are spending hundreds of billions of dollars on AI infrastructure, often through loans, while bond yields have reached multi-year highs.
