Pre-orders for GTA 6 estimated at $751 million two weeks before game's release
According to Sensor Tower's estimate, by November 3, PlayStation 5 and Xbox users had pre-ordered 7.71 million copies of GTA 6, totaling $751 million.
PlayStation accounted for 74% of the orders (approximately $559 million), while Xbox accounted for 26% ($192 million). This refers to an estimate of digital pre-orders, not confirmed revenue for the developer.
The game's release is scheduled for November 19, 2026. For comparison, GTA 5 earned $800 million in its first day after release and $1 billion in three days. However, these figures cannot be directly compared: GTA 6's numbers reflect pre-orders, while GTA 5's reflect post-release sales.
The high interest in expensive editions may be explained by the activity of devoted fans. The standard version costs $80, while the Ultimate Edition costs $100.
Take-Two has not disclosed the number of pre-orders.
