Average salary in Uzbekistan reaches 7.1 million soums
Real incomes increased by 10.9% over the year, with the fastest growth recorded in Jizzakh Region, Namangan, and Tashkent.

The average monthly salary in Uzbekistan for the period of January–June 2026 reached 7.1 million soums. The Central Bank reported that nominal payments increased by 18.4% year-on-year, with the difference explained by a slowdown in inflation. For workers, this means an increase in the purchasing power of incomes, although it was less than the rise in salaries in monetary terms.
Salaries grew the fastest in the transport and storage sector—by 22.8%. In social services, the increase was 20.2%, and in construction, it was 19.9%.
The highest average salaries remain in the financial and insurance sector. Information and communications are also among the highest-paid fields, while agriculture and social services remain among the sectors with the lowest incomes.
Growth in real salaries in the second quarter was recorded in all regions of the country. In addition to Jizzakh Region, Namangan Region, and Tashkent, a noticeable increase in incomes was recorded in Tashkent Region, Kashkadarya Region, Samarkand Region, and Bukhara Region.
The Central Bank believes that the gap between regions in terms of growth rates is gradually narrowing. At the same time, the increase in payments in low-paid sectors is proceeding faster than in some high-income industries, which may gradually reduce the difference between salaries.
