Universities to inspect safety of student rental housing
From September 29 to October 4, 48 universities inspected nearly 2,000 rented premises where students live.

During a meeting involving the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Tashkent and representatives of higher education, the safety of students in rental housing was discussed. Over the week, universities examined 1,983 apartments and held discussions with 3,250 students.
The main risks during the autumn-winter period are associated with improper use of gas, electrical appliances, and heating systems. Universities were instructed to regularly check the condition of equipment and ventilation, as well as to address identified violations.
Tutors are required to personally assess the living conditions of each student, monitor the safety of equipment, and report problems to the administration. Students will be informed about emergency procedures and provided with preventive materials.
