Uzbekistan and Japan Discuss New Investment Projects

The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade held a meeting with Japanese partners on developing cooperation in infrastructure, healthcare and education.

On 10 October in Tashkent, negotiations took place between the head of the ministry Laziz Kudratov and representatives of the Japanese Silk Road Fund, which is led by Yoshitsugu Minagawa.

The meeting discussed attracting Japanese investors to projects in healthcare, industry and tourism. Particular attention was given to establishing a university clinic and involving Japanese businesses in the development of a special economic zone in Samarkand.

The parties agreed to continue working within the framework of the memorandum signed in July 2024 and to develop direct business ties.
