FIFA Earns Record $5 Billion from Ticket Sales and Services for 2026 World Cup

Revenue was five times higher than the 2022 World Cup result and exceeded the tournament's expected budget.

The final amount was influenced by an increase in the number of matches, dynamic pricing, and a commission from ticket resales on FIFA's official platform.

The organization received 30% from secondary sales. This model was made possible by U.S. legislation allowing the resale of tickets for sporting events.

Spain won the tournament, Argentina took silver, and England secured bronze. Uzbekistan's national team finished last in Group K during its debut World Cup, losing all three matches.
