Uzbekistan showcases experience in using space technologies at international level
At a seminar ahead of IAC-2026, the Uzcosmos agency demonstrated how satellite data helps manage water resources and agriculture in the country, reports Bright Uzbekistan.

At international events as part of preparations for the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC-2026), Uzbekistan presented its experience in applying space technologies. Specifically, specialists from the Space Monitoring and Geoinformation Technologies Center explained how satellite data is used to monitor water and natural resources, support agriculture, and conduct environmental monitoring.
Mukhiddin Ibragimov, Deputy Director of the Uzcosmos agency, spoke at the IAC Host Summit with a presentation on preparations for hosting IAC-2028 in Samarkand. He announced plans to organize a national pavilion, promote the country's space projects, and present Samarkand as the host city of the congress. In 2026–2027, promotional events are planned in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and the Americas.
IAC-2028 will take place in Samarkand from October 9 to 13, 2028.
