Manchester United risks losing young talent JJ Gabriel for £350,000
The club has offered a scholarship contract to the 16-year-old forward, but the player is almost certain to leave the team, reports Guardian Sport.
Manchester United has officially offered JJ Gabriel a scholarship contract for the upcoming season to retain the player's rights. However, due to a conflict with the club's management, the forward, who has been with the club since he was 11, is likely to join another team.
According to Premier League rules, if Gabriel moves to a European club, United will receive approximately £350,000 in compensation. In the event of a transfer to another English club, the amount could increase to £3 million, including 20% of the player's next sale. Previously, a similar dispute between Liverpool and Chelsea resulted in a £2.8 million payment for Rio Ngumoha.
Gabriel has not appeared at training sessions for over three weeks. According to a source, the club has attempted to contact him to inquire about his condition. The primary reason for his departure is disagreements over playing time in the first team. Among the clubs interested in the player are Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and PSG.
