Uzbekistan and OECD Discuss Development of Tax Information Exchange
The parties reviewed the implementation of standards for the automatic exchange of data on financial accounts and crypto-assets, reports the Tax Committee.
A delegation from Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Tax Information. The main focus was on identifying countries to participate in the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) and assessing Uzbekistan's readiness for this process.
Steps to accelerate procedures for the commencement of the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters (MAC) and the implementation of the CRS standard—automatic exchange of information on financial accounts—were discussed. The parties also reviewed preparatory measures and possible timelines for launching these mechanisms.
