Travel Declaration Can Now Be Filled Out Online
The completed form must be saved on a phone and shown to a customs officer.
The Unified Portal of Interactive State Services announced the launch of online submission for passenger customs declarations. This allows travelers to pre-fill information about goods for personal use and avoid completing the document from scratch at the border.
The service is available in the "Customs" section on my.gov.uz, as well as in the MyGov app. After filling out the form, the electronic version must be saved on a phone and presented to a customs officer when crossing the border.
The declaration can include household appliances and electronics—if bringing in more than one unit, jewelry—over 65 grams for gold and 200 grams for silver, as well as national or foreign currency in amounts exceeding 100 million Uzbekistani soms in equivalent. Items under special control must also be declared, including weapons, drones, radio-electronic devices, and historical or cultural valuables.
The duty-free import limit depends on the method of crossing the border: for air travel, the limit is up to $1,000; for train or river travel, up to $500; and for travel by car or on foot, up to $300. Customs duties are charged on amounts exceeding these limits according to established procedures.
